Most of this practice can be adapted to meet your body where it is.

Just cosmic curiosity

Come curious about your energy, your inner world and what might be possible when you quiet some of the noise.

Does this sound familiar?

  • Your nervous system feels fried from constant stimulation, responsibilities, notifications and carrying everyone else's energy.
  • You know you're sensitive, intuitive and deeply feeling, but nobody ever taught you how to actually work with those qualities without becoming overwhelmed.
  • Some days you feel inspired, creative and connected. Other days you feel anxious, exhausted, overstimulated or completely disconnected from yourself.
  • You sense there's more to life than what can be seen or explained, but lately you've lost touch with that feeling.
  • You're spiritually curious but tired of endlessly consuming information without actually feeling different.
  • You want practices that feel grounded, magical, beginner-friendly and genuinely useful in everyday life.
  • You want to be around other women who value healing, intuition, personal growth, consciousness and a little cosmic weirdness. 👽

This is why I created Journey Into the Cosmos.

You probably don't need more spiritual information.

You need ways to actually work with your energy.
Ways to quiet the noise.
Ways to come back into your body.
Ways to strengthen your relationship with your intuition.
And practices you can return to when modern life feels like too much.

That's what we'll explore together.

Four weeks, in person

What we cover, week by week

Small group. Room for questions, tangents, conversation and the weird stuff that naturally comes up when we start talking about energy and consciousness.

Week 1

Mantra

The technology of sound 🌀

We begin with one of my favorite parts of Kundalini Yoga: mantra. You'll learn what mantra actually is, why sound and repetition are used throughout yogic practice and how chanting can change your internal state. We'll explore sound, rhythm, breath and vibration, plus an introduction to the subtle energy body, including chakras and nadis. You'll leave understanding how to begin using mantra as an actual practice instead of simply something you hear in yoga classes.

Week 2

Pranayama

Change your breath, change your state 🌬️

Your breath is one of the most immediate tools you have for changing how you feel. We'll explore pranayama, the yogic science of breath and life force, and look at the relationship between breathing patterns, energy, emotion and the nervous system. You'll practice techniques you can use when you feel overwhelmed, anxious, mentally scattered or depleted. We'll also introduce bandhas, the internal yogic locks used to direct and contain energy during practice.

Week 3

Mudra + Meditation

Your hands are part of the practice 🖐️

Mudras are sacred hand positions used throughout yoga and meditation to support focus, awareness and energetic intention. We'll explore some of the most commonly used mudras in Kundalini Yoga and begin bringing everything together through meditation. You'll learn practices for creating more space between you and the thoughts that seem to play on repeat. Less fighting with your mind. More learning how to observe it. And more room to hear what's underneath all the noise.

Week 4

Kriya

The full blast off 🛸

This is where everything comes together. A kriya is a specific sequence of posture, breath, mantra, mudra, meditation and focus traditionally practiced to create a particular energetic or meditative effect. We'll move through a complete kriya together from beginning to end. You'll get to experience how all the individual pieces you learned during the first three weeks work together as one complete practice. We'll close the series by talking about what shifted, what you noticed and how to continue working with Kundalini Yoga on your own.

By the end of week four, you'll have a foundational understanding of Kundalini Yoga and your own collection of practices for calming the noise, working with your energy and reconnecting with your inner guidance.

The practice

What is Kundalini Yoga?

Kundalini Yoga is a yogic practice that combines breath, mantra, meditation, mudra and movement.

The word kundalini traditionally refers to a dormant spiritual energy said to rest at the base of the spine. The practice is designed to cultivate awareness, move energy through the body and support a deeper relationship with your own consciousness.

Unlike the yoga most people picture, Kundalini Yoga is not primarily focused on stretching or complicated physical postures.

Some practices are physical.
Some are completely still.
Some involve chanting.
Some involve breathing patterns.
Some involve meditation.
And yes, some of them are a little weird.
That's part of the fun.

What I love about Kundalini Yoga is that it gives you something to actually do with your energy. Instead of endlessly analyzing yourself, you get to experience what happens when you change your breath, your focus, your sound and your state.

Who

Ages 21+
Beginner friendly.
Small group.
In person.
Only 8 spots.

Questions? We got you.

What do I wear?

Anything comfortable that you can easily sit and move in. You do not need special yoga clothes and you definitely do not need to wear white. Come as yourself.

What should I bring?

Bring water and anything that helps you feel comfortable sitting or lying down. If you have a yoga mat, bring one. Any additional details about props or what is available at the studio will be shared before the first class.

Do I need to know mantra?

No. We're starting from the beginning. You'll learn what mantra is, how to pronounce what we're using and how to practice it. You do not need to memorize anything beforehand.

Do I need yoga experience?

No. This series was specifically created for beginners. If you already have some yoga or meditation experience, you're welcome too.

I'm not flexible. Is that a problem?

No. Kundalini Yoga is not about being able to bend yourself into complicated shapes. Many practices are done sitting down and everything can be approached at your own pace.

My main issue is overthinking. Is this for me?

Very possibly. A huge part of this practice is learning how to shift your attention out of constant mental analysis and back into your breath, body, awareness and direct experience. We'll practice tools designed to help you create more internal space and reconnect with your own intuition underneath all the mental noise.
